The Innkeepers is a 2011 American supernatural horror film written, directed and edited by Ti West, starring Sara Paxton, Pat Healy, and Kelly McGillis. As several strange occurrences begin to add up, both Claire and Luke must make the crucial decision on what to believe and what not to believe.” I do believe there is a very faint outline of her. As the Inns final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum. In many ways, The Innkeepers is really a study of lonely people and arguably lonely ghosts. The last remaining employees-Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy)-are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New Englands most haunted hotels. Had I seen this sooner, it would have made the best-of list with ease.
I was quickly able to slip into its vibe, and by the time the weekend spent there was over, I found myself in love with the place, the people, the story and the film. The last remaining clerks, Claire (Paxton), a twenty something that has come to terms with her lot in life, and Luke (Healy), a computer-smart loner, are convinced that the hotel is haunted and are determined to prove it. The old guy was depressed because his wife had died. After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. THE INNKEEPERS is not what I expected, or what I hoped for, but thats okay.
